Summer is here, the kids are home and to keep everyone happy means that staying busy and engaged is the goal!

We’ve gathered some ideas from around the web for boredom-busting fun. Whether you have toddlers, preschoolers or school-aged children at home, these creative summer activities for kids will offer colorful and imaginative opportunities for summertime play.

 

Summer Activities for All Ages

  • Visit the Library - Our local library has programs for everyone and the shelves are packed with books that will open the doors of the imagination, no matter what age you happen to be. Check out the schedule and pencil in some time to read along with your kiddos this summer.
  • Play Dress-up and Pretend -  Go get the hats, ties, shoes, old dresses, vests, glasses and one or two of Daddy’s shirts and watch how quickly your children’s imaginations wake up to create new characters and personas! Depending on their age, play will unfold differently. But even toddlers like to pretend with items that don’t belong to them. Who will your children be for the afternoon?

 

Summer Activities for Toddlers
